Happy 4th of July (via Ryan Suter and Zach Parise.) To preemptively honor America I went to Omaha for the US Swimming Trials. Here’s what I wrote about the week and here’s a primer on some of the characters that you’ll be hearing about on NBC soon. Also, this video is a glimpse into the best part of the trials: the “basket kids.” They are the swimming equivalent of tennis ball boys. You won’t regret it.
